On 24th February 2017, Fundaţia ADEPT Transilvania has continued for the eighth year, its successful series of events dedicated to Family Farmers and Small-Scale Producers from the Târnava Mare Area. The meeting in Sighişoara brought together a range of specialists and farmers who have contributed to the support and protection of the area and its people – in fields of biodiversity conservation, community development, marketing and quality labelling, micro-enterprise credits, and rural businesses development.
ADEPT, together with the Bazna local authorities and the newly founded Bazna Pig Producer’s organized the second edition of the Bazna Pig Festival, 15-16 October.
2 workshops with 2 well-known Romanian chefs that thought the public to embrace old varieties, to support local communities and to remember an ancient life-style, with a modern twist, that are benefial not only for each person’s health, but also for a sustainable future. More than 300 attendees from all over Romania. More than 10.000 people were informed about the project through the communication campaign.
Between the 20th and 24th of September 2016, 85 participants from 25 countries met in Sighisoara in Southern Transylvania for the 13th annual conference of the Eurasian Dry Grassland Group. In contrast to the previous 12 “EDG Meetings”, this year it was decided to change the name to “Eurasian Grassland Conference” to reflect the changing scope of these events.
