Meet the Bears

Enjoy the unique experience and walk deep into the woods guided by Attila Hosszu. Attila will guide through one of Europe’s best preserved authentic rural landscapes with an impressive natural richness, where you can watch the bears or wild cats in their own habitats.

In July 2009 Dr. Jurgen Dengler, one of the founders of the European Dry Grassland Group, carried out field work in Transylvania. His visit confirmed the outstanding extent, diversity, and conservation status of the grasslands compared to European standards. The landscape is home to numerous fauna and flora species. 23 mammal species threatened in Europe and protected under the EU Habitats Directive and the Berne Convention were so far identified, including wolf, bear, wild cat, otter, water shrew, bicoloured shrew, fat dormouse, common dormouse and several bat species.
