Project Objectives

GO

General Objective

Facilitating the participation in on-the-job learning programs for 182 students from non-university secondary and / or tertiary education, from the Central, West, South-East, South Muntenia and South-West Oltenia regions, by creating partnerships between units / educational institutions and the private sector, but also through the organization of internships, focused on the training and development of professional and transversal skills, required on the labor market, including for disadvantaged groups, on areas of vocational training, focusing on sectors with competitive potential, identified in SNC and SNCDI, correlated with specific counseling and career guidance programs, in order to facilitate the insertion on the labor market of future high school, high school, vocational and post-high school graduates (ISCED 2, 3 and 4) .

Short and long term outcomes

Short- and long-term outcomes for participating students relate to:

  • carrying out internships,
  • professional and career counseling,
  • possibility of employment,
  • increasing self-esteem and independence,
  • improving the feeling of professional fulfillment.

Students will have paid transportation and will receive a daily food package.

Specific Objectives

Through its specific objectives, the project contributes to the achievement of the general objective of POCU, by promoting measures to correlate the education system and the labor market, through counseling and career guidance activities, in order to prepare 182 students for the insertion on the labor market. The students come from  technological high schools, vocational and post-secondary schools, belonging to the Central, West, South-East, South Muntenia and South-West Oltenia regions, in order to increase the employment rate among the graduates of the educational units.

Specific Objectiv 1

Selection, recruitment of target group, organization and development of on-the-job learning programs (internships, etc.) for 182 students in non-university secondary and / or tertiary education, from the Central, West, South-East, South Muntenia regions and South-West Oltenia, and raising awareness of the opportunities offered by internships, as well as the principles of social innovation, the transition to a low-carbon economy and non-discrimination.

Specific Objective 2

Providing counseling and career guidance services, focused on acquiring skills related to the needs of the labor market, for the 182 students in secondary and / or non-university tertiary education, in the regions covered by the project.

Specific Objective 3

Development of the workplace learning system, by concluding at least 15 partnerships / conventions between educational institutions and companies, but also by developing a relationship and communication mechanism (network type) in order to facilitate the dialogue between companies / private sector, the network of educational units, parents / guardians of students and the target group, by organizing 5 meetings, 5 workshops, etc., which will result in teaching materials to capitalize on practical, viable, innovative solutions to improve the offer of internships / learning at work, including capitalizing on good practices.

Specific Objective 4

Improving the skills and abilities of 182 students in informatics, but also improving the knowledge in the field of personal financial management, by organizing information sessions on these fields, monitoring the growth of skills and knowledge acquired by the target group, following participation in activities project and also to boost the competitiveness of students and increase the confidence of employers in the professional skills of the target group, through a professional competition (competition), with 35 awards for the best.

The total value of the project is  2,295,604.36 lei (of which the eligible non-reimbursable value from the ESF is 1,922,287.15 lei, and the eligible non-reimbursable value from the national budget is 339,227.13 lei).
