Fundatia ADEPT, founded in 2004, is a biodiversity conservation and rural development NGO based in Saschiz, Romania. Our aim is to give the High Nature Value Farmed Landscapes of Transylvania and their communities an economic future and relevance in the 21st century without sacrificing their sustainability and productivity. These landscapes are an important model for future productive and sustainable farming in Europe.

Topic of the workshop: Agrobiodiversity in and for Nature Protection Places of the excursion are in Tansylvania: Sighisoara, Viscri, Moşna, Saschiz, Ţopa Guests started the visit in Moşna, where they visited an old community center, an old mill wich is not in use anymore, the very oldest house of the village with an old wine

Top EU prize for communications won again in Brussels by Fundatia ADEPT

For the second year in succession, Fundația ADEPT won a top EU prize for innovative communication with small-scale farmers, with its SMS Family Farms project. The project was supported by Fundatia Orange and by the Swiss Romanian Cooperation Fund.

EU Commissioner for Agriculture meets innovation

EU Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. Dacian Cioloș, visited the Fundația ADEPT project area, to see some of the foundation’s farm advisory activities. During the visit he was instructed in the use of an innovative Brielmaier mower, and enjoyed trying it out.
