Haferland Week is one of the largest festivals  dedicated to the cultural heritage of the Transylvanian Saxons held annually in our region.

ADEPT is one of the founders/organisers. ADEPT organised the one day event in Saschiz, counting around 250 participants.

We organized together with the local community a concert in the church, traditional dance,  a presentation of the high biodiversity of the area, potter workshop, traditional products market and offered a Saxon wedding  traditional meal.

Fundatia ADEPT, founded in 2004, is a biodiversity conservation and rural development NGO based in Saschiz, Romania. Our aim is to give the High Nature Value Farmed Landscapes of Transylvania and their communities an economic future and relevance in the 21st century without sacrificing their sustainability and productivity. These landscapes are an important model for future productive and sustainable farming in Europe.
