Increasing employment by supporting non-agricultural businesses in the urban area by promoting entrepreneurial culture and developing entrepreneurial and managerial skills and knowledge in South Muntenia region (Argeș, Călărași, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Ialomița, Prahova, Teleorman counties)

The Overall Objective: Increasing employment by supporting non-agricultural businesses in the urban area by promoting entrepreneurial culture and developing entrepreneurial and managerial knowledge and skills among 300 individuals (unemployed, inactive, job-seekers and start-ups) in order to create new jobs in South Muntenia region (Argeș, Călărași, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Ialomița, Prahova, Teleorman counties), facilitating the start of new business, thus encouraging entrepreneurship and self-employment.
Specific Objective 1: Encouraging entrepreneurship through the development of entrepreneurial skills. The achievement of this objective is to provide a training program for the development of entrepreneurial skills for 300 people (unemployed, inactive people, people who have a job and wish to set up a business to create new jobs) that meet cumulatively the following conditions: they intend to set up a non-agricultural business in the urban area, have their residence or domicile in the rural or urban area of the Center region. Out of targeted 300 people, 70 people will be unemployed, 160 inactive and 70 people who want to start a job in order to create new jobs.
Specific Objective 2: Stimulate self-employment by developing and funding 40 business plans and by providing support and expert advice for startup business. Setting up a support hub for organic and sustainable business initiation and development (strategically positioned to allow easy access for all potential beneficiaries in the region). The direct benefit resulting from this objective is the establishment of at least 40 enterprises (based on a business ideas contest), which will receive technical, financial support, support for implementing business plans. Also, another direct benefit is that at least 80 jobs will be created within the 40 start-ups.
300 individuals who fall into one of the following categories:
- unemployed
- inactive people aged 18-64 who fall neither in the employed or unemployed (students, householders, retirees to the extent that they can be eligible for one of the target group categories of the call
- people who have a job and set up a business to create new jobs, including self-employed persons (authorized individuals, owners of individual businesses and members of family businesses).
In order to be eligible, individuals must cumulatively fulfill the following conditions:
- intends to set up a non-agricultural business in the urban area
- have their residence or domicile in rural or urban areas in the South Muntenia region.
Out of targeted 300 people, 70 people will be unemployed, 160 inactive and 70 people who want to start a job in order to create new jobs. At the same time, at least 150 persons (50% of the target group) will be women.
1st Stage – Entrepreneurial training
Through these sub-activities, the target groups will be informed, selected and trained in setting up and running a company's business, efficient planning & management of the businesses to be set up. This first stage of the project will run for 12 months, between January 2018 and December 2018

2nd Stage Business Plans Implementation
This stage has the role to support the beneficiaries of the selected business plans in order to start their activity by providing consultancy services in different areas of interest for the beneficiaries. Individuals whose business plans will be selected under the first stage will receive financial support in the form of de minimis aid of € 40,000 for the purpose of implementing their business plan. This stage will take place over a period of 18 months, between January 2019 and June 2020.

We would like to remind you that both the graduates of our entrepreneurial courses and those who have not yet participated in the project, but who have a certificate of graduation from an entrepreneurial course, and who has at the same time their domicile / residence in South Muntenia Region. Also, the submitted projects must target a non-agricultural activity and be carried out in the urban area of the South Muntenia Region.
The competition will fund 40 business plans. The winners of the contest will benefit from internships, personalized consulting services, mentoring and monitoring the implementation of the new business for a period of 18 months from the start.
